Acute Pain Signs and Symptoms
Acute pain usually results from direct damage to tissue or organs in the body. Usually described as being intense and sharp stabbing sensation. The acute pain often arises from a particular area and spreads from there. Sometimes the acute pain can be followed by a dull ache. In addition to the acute pain, patients often experience other symptoms including increased blood pressure and hyperhydrosis (increased sweating).
Recognize and Treat Acute Pain
Acute pain often has a specific and fairly easily identifiable cause. The level of acute pain can range from mild to severe but through relevant medical treatment or pain management it can be reduced or eliminated entirely. Treatment for acute pain can have side effects such as nausea and loss of apetite. Treatment for mesothelioma can often cause acute pain, however other types of pain such as chronic pain and breakthrough pain can result from the disease. If you are suffering from acute pain, chronic pain, or breakthrough pain, you should consult your doctor and seek treatment and advice.
